Lava has launched its latest selfie-focused smartphone – P7 Plus, in India. Priced at Rs 5,699, the smartphone has an 8MP auto-focus rear camera and 5 MP front-facing camera, both with LED flash and digital zoom.On the specifications front, Lava P7 Plus features a 5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD cards. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and offers dual-sim functionality.On the connectivity front, Lava P7 Plus offers 3G, Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth and GPS. It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery.Lava P7 Plus comes with image editing tools such as ‘Pic Focus,’ which helps in producing high quality images by focusing on the subject and blurring the background. Then there’s the ‘Extreme Beauty’ feature, which helps in enhancing selfies. The ‘Sound Image’ functionality lets users add 10 second audio memos to their images. The phone supports HD video recording.Along with this, Lava P7 offers battery saving features such as ‘Doze the device’, which makes the phone go into a sleep state when it detects that it is unplugged, stationary or in screen off mode. In addition, the smartphone comes with ‘smart-screen gestures’ through which users can use shortcuts to access frequently used apps like browser, camera and email.Last month, Lava launched its A68 smartphone. Priced at Rs 4,599, the smartphone has a 4.5-inch display of 480×800 pixel resolution and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company claims that the launch of A68 “makes Lava one of the few brands to offer the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS version at an extremely competitive price of Rs. 4,599″.Powering the A68 is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The phone offers 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards.
