Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime soon to be Launch In India At Rs 18,790

Samsung is all set to launch its latest smartphone – Galaxy J7 Prime, in India. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the company will soon be launching the Galaxy J7 Prime at a price tag of Rs 18,790.In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution secured with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Powering the device is a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by installing microSD cards. Intel India Announces The Intel & DST Innovate For Digital India Challenge 2.0

Continuing its vision to create a sustainable ecosystem of innovation in the country, Intel India today has announced the Intel & DST IntelInnovate for Digital India Challenge 2.0 (“Challenge”), building off the success of the inaugural Challenge last year. Presented in collaboration with MyGov, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITY), and T-Hub Foundation, this year’s Challenge also aims to inspire grassroots innovation and harness local talent, by inviting makers across India to build solutions to accelerate India’s digitization and commercially develop their prototypes on Intel® Architecture.
Based on the philosophy of ‘Challenging India’s Challenges’, this initiative adds to Intel India’s larger goal of enabling technology innovation in the country, for students, entrepreneurs, and any other makers, who are passionate about creating viable solutions to address everyday problems, related to sustainable access to healthcare, livelihood, and finance, faced by citizens.Intel India has an end to end approach to advancing innovation & research. The company has created a strong innovation pipeline and ecosystem, based on public private collaboration that target K-12, researchers, and makers and provide them with not just funding, but also with consistent mentoring and market access. Through its recent collaboration with think tank NITI Aayog, Intel India is working to establish tinkering laboratories for mini makers in ten schools across the country. Better known as Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs), these facilities will serve as an exemplar for 490 ATLs to be launched by the government. In another recent project, Intel collaborated with Department of Science & Technology (DST) of Government of India, and Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay to set up a new collaborative incubation program called Plugin, to support hardware and systems-based start-ups. In addition, through the Intel Tech Challenge, the company, in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, has trained 10,000 children on ideation and maker skills.The Challenge encourages the creation of easy to use, and scalable solutions to address the challenges of the country through automation and technology. It invites solutions that integrate IoT, and cloud technology to enable digital transformation experiences in the areas of agriculture innovation, healthcare access, financial inclusion, and sustainability. It is open to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, innovators, academia, designers, engineers and makers from diverse backgrounds.This year, the Challenge will roll-out in five phases, with the grand finale taking place in April 2017. Shortlisted teams will be eligible to receive a INR 3,00,000 grant each, to create minimum-viable products (MVPs) based on Intel® Architecture (iA) in an accelerator program at the T-Hub incubator in Hyderabad. The winning team will walk away with INR 20,000,00 to further their project development. In Hyderabad, T-Hub is pushing this with platforms that showcase and scale innovation as the primary lynchpin. HTC Desire 10 Video Teaser Hints At Great Camera

HTC has once again teased its Desire 10 smartphone , which isexpected to launch on September 20. The teaser comes in the form of a short video clip posted on the company’s YouTube account.That said, the YouTube video doesn’t reveal many details about the device. It just shows a glimpse of what seems like the camera panel of the device. After that, the number ‘150’ appears in the video. What it exactly means is open to interpretation.Last week, the Taiwanese tech giant released a teaser video with a title, “It’s coming. 09.20 #BeEdgier”. The video shows a smartphone with a metal body design, similar to HTC’s Desire 10 Pro smartphone, which itself leaked in images online last month.HTC’s unannounced handset is expected to feature a metal unibody design and a fingerprint sensor at the back.As per rumours, the smartphone will have a 5.1-inch Quad HD display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.HTC is also expected to launch its affordable Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone. Dual front-facing speakers powered by Boomsound are also expected.HTC launched its latest mid-range smartphone – One A9s, at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany. Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB/32GB of internal storage, further expandable up to 2TB via microSD cards.The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with the company’s Sense UI. iPhone 7: This is what headphone maker Jaybird has to say on Apple ditching headphone jack

There have been rumours since past several months that Apple may drop 3.5mm headphone jack in its next iPhones, likely to be called iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The company is instead likely to launch both Bluetooth headphones and headphones with lightning connectors as a part of the major change in terms of design in the new iPhones. As the countdown to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus starts, headphone maker JayBird spoke to Forbes about its take on Apple’s speculated move. For those unaware, JayBird was recently acquired by Logitech for $50million.
In an interview, JayBird chief marketing officer Rene Oehlerking told Brooke Crothers, a contributor for Forbes, “My personal opinion is that it’s absolutely going to happen. It’s going to happen next week when they announce it. And I believe this will be seen as very similar to when Apple decided to get rid of the floppy disk or decided to get rid of the CD-ROM or DVD drives in all of their MacBooks. It’s going to be that kind of a leap.”
Oehlerking further added that 3.5mm headphone jack came with Walkman and the CD players and while all of them have been replaced by more advanced tech, 3.5mm headphone jack stayed unchanged and is now outdated.
JayBird CMO said that shifting from 3.5mm headphone jack to lightning connector-based headphones will still compress and decompress audio “but the music quality can be drastically enhanced.”
According to him, “there will be some kind of adapter in the iPhone 7 box” that will enable using of wired headphones via the Lightning port.
The rumours suggesting Apple to bring Lightning EarPods with the launch of the iPhone 7 got more credibility recently, courtesy a leaked image of iPhone 7 Plus’ alleged packaging. As per the image, Apple will be bundling a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor and a Lightning to USB cable adaptor inside the box of the new iPhone.

HTC May Launch Desire 10 Pro Handset On Sept 20

HTC showcased its mid-range smartphone One A9s at the ongoing IFA 2016. And now, the company has released a new teaser video with a title that reads, “It’s coming. 09.20 #BeEdgier”. The video shows a smartphone with a metal body similar to the company’s Desire 10 Pro smartphone , which leaked in images online last month.HTC’s unannounced handset is expected to feature a metal unibody and a fingerprint sensor at the back.As per rumours, the smartphone will likely have a 5.1-inch Quad HD display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.HTC is also expected to launch its affordable Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone. Expected to have a 5.5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution, the smartphone will be likely powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, further expandable via microSD cards.For imaging duties, the smartphone is likely to sport a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Samsung holds back deliveries of Galaxy Note 7 in India after cases of battery fires

Korean giant Samsung is holding back the deliveries of its flagship Galaxy Note 7 smartphone in India after the company decided to issue a global recall on reports of nearly three dozen devices exploding during or after charging.The company had unveiled the phone in India on August 11, and is understood to have got bookings for around 20,000 devices.“To date (as of September 1), there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market,” a spokesperson for the company said.“However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have delayed sales of the Galaxy Note7 in India,” the spokesperson further said.The 5.7-inch curved screen device, which boasts of an IRIS scanner, had been priced at Rs 59,900 in India.The company said that it had found a found a “battery cell issue” after it conducted a through investigation. “Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously.“We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers,” the company spokesperson said.Samsung is recalling all the Note 7 smartphones equipped with the batteries it has found to be fire-prone and halted their sales in 10 markets.At a news conference in Korea on Friday, Koh Dong-jin, head of the company’s smartphone business, expressed regret over the recall.Koh, who declined to comment on the number of phones needing replacement, said Samsung had sold 2.5 million of the premium devices so far. The manufacturer plans to replace not only phones with faulty batteries sold to consumers, but also retailer inventories and units in transit.“I can’t comment on exactly how much the cost will be, but it pains my heart that it will be such a big number,” he said.While recalls in the smartphone industry do happen, including for rival Apple Inc, the nature of the problem for the Galaxy Note 7 is a serious blow to Samsung’s reputation, analysts said.Many operators across key markets such as the US and Germany have suspended the sale of the model.
