Xiaomi Mi Band launched the HRX Edition in India

Xiaomi has launched a new variant of its fitness band in India. Called Xiaomi Mi band – HRX Edition, the company has partnered with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s firm (HRX) for the device. Xiaomi Mi band – HRX Edition has an MRP of Rs 1,799, however, the device is available at Rs 1,299. The band is said to come with improved fitness tracking algorithm, which the company claims offers more accurate monitoring of the wearer’s activities. The Mi band – HRX Edition is also said to offer an improved battery life. Xiaomi says that the device has 70mAh battery that is rated to deliver 23 days of life, a 10% update over the regular version’s 20 days. Mi band HRX Edition does not include Heart Rate sensor, which we is there in the company’s Mi Band 2. The IP67-splash resistant device sports a scratch-resistant touch screen with 0.42-inch OLED display and support for Bluetooth v4.0. The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition is compatible with Android 4.4, iOS 7.0 and above. Available in Black and Blue colour variants, the device measures 15.7×10.5×40.3mm and weighs 70 gram. The launch of the Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition comes few days after the launch of the company’s first-ever Android One smartphone, the Mi A1. Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone is priced at Rs 14,999. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat and comes with pure Android UI onboard. Sporting a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features a full-metal body with rounded edges. Under the hood, there is a mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The dual-rear camera of the smartphone consists of a 12MP wide angle and a 12MP telephoto lens for an improved bokeh effect in portrait shots. At the front, the smartphone has a 5MP camera. It is backed by a 3080mAh battery and has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
