HP Extends Partner Ecosystem with Asia Pacific Cloud Leaders

HP today announced the continued expansion of its HP Helion Network in Asia Pacific and Japan with the addition of a leading community of 50 channel partners, system integrators (SIs), service providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and developers working with HP to deliver open standards-based hybrid cloud services designed specifically to customer needs.
IDC predicts that the global cloud market, including private, public and hybrid clouds, will hit $118 billion in 2015 and crest at $200 billion by 2018. While organizations are convinced about the benefits of cloud including greater agility, accelerated innovation and lower costs; adoption and realization of benefits is often hampered by a lack of internal experience, security and compliance concerns, as well as unknown operational risks.
As trends like cloud, mobility and big data govern the future of enterprises in a digital world, business leaders are looking for expertise to bridge their move from traditional IT to becoming a successful digital enterprise. The extension of the Helion Network will now give enterprises in Asia Pacific and Japan access to an ecosystem of cloud partners and service providers who offer a portfolio of open source hybrid cloud solutions for a wide range of customer requirements and applications. These include workload migrations from traditional IT to the cloud, cloud native and DevOps platforms, data sovereignty, private to public cloud or the deployment of customized cloud offerings like multitenant cloud, enterprise data drives, and content-as-a-service.
“The HP Helion Network leverages our expertise from running OpenStack® technology at scale and our ability to unite service providers and technology partners who want to drive a transformational journey for themselves and their customers,” said Narayanan Chellappan, Country Director, Cloud Division, HP India. Together, we’ve built a federated ecosystem that enables organizations to transform with partners who know the best path for their customers and can deploy services on the right platform at the right time and at the right cost for their business.”
HP, to enable a focused, skilled and enabled partner ecosystem, is providing its Helion Network partners with a number of benefits including dedicated training, workshops, hands-on sessions, and collaborative sales and marketing programs. HP also provides flexible IT investment and consumption models with HP Financial Services to help cloud partners design and deliver the right cloud solutions for customers, while accelerating their cloud transformation strategy.
“We are at a stage in the business where businesses in India are transforming how they deliver products and services, with many of our customers migrating workloads to the cloud. If we were unable to adapt to this trend, it would have been a threat to our survival as a business,” said R S Shanbhag, founder, chairman and managing director at Valuepoint Group. “The expertise of the HP team, together with its Helion Platform, has enabled us to build a range of cloud service offerings around OpenStack for our customers, helping us turn a possible threat into new opportunities for our company’s bigger future.”
Some of the 50 cloud leaders include Triforce, Oriel and Klikon in Australia, Valuepoint Group, PC Solutions and Shro Systems in India, and Asys, Eden T&S and BayNex in Korea.
